Pastor Sam Owens and his family
Pastor Owens was blessed to grow up in a Christian home. The existence of God was never doubted. He was saved by God’s grace as a 16 year old. He began sensing God’s call to ministry in the fall of 1990 and surrendered to it in the spring of 1991.
Pastor Owens received a Master of Divinity, December 2007 from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, KY and a Bachelor of Arts in 2000 from Regents College, Albany, NY. He was ordained May 27, 2001, Stithton Baptist Church, Radcliff, KY.
Pastor Owens has been an Associate Pastor, Macon First Baptist Church, Macon, MO since March 2012. He was also the Pastor of Hopewell Baptist Church, Butler, AL; Associate Pastor, Poplar Grove Baptist Church, Glencoe, KY; Associational Evangelism Director, Owen County Baptist Association, Owen Co.,KY; Senior Pastor, Long Ridge Baptist Church, Owenton, KY; Chaplain Candidate, US Army Reserve, and Chaplain’s Assistant, US Army.
Pastor Owens has been leading Grays Hill Baptist Church since April of 2022.
